The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds

Birds in a treeConservationists and ecologists are unstinting in their efforts to preserve and maintain a balance in nature by rationalising and protecting habitats under siege to the ever increasing demands of world population growth. The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds is one of the best organised societies of its kind in the world. It has over 140,000 acres owned or leased reserves and a membership in excess of 500,000. The work of the Society is broadly divided into two roles - conserving wild birds and their habitats, and informing and educating the public.
